Our friend Miss Georgia gave Camden some bird feed, so Camden was sold on the idea of a bird house. Dad and Son went to work in the garage one Saturday to make the ultimate bird feeder.

The Final Product. Good job, boys!
My parents, sister, and kids came to visit and hit the Kiddie Park before back-to-school. Cam, Caroline, Addi, and Em played non-stop!
Caroline and Em were under the impression that they would get to sleep together in a big girl bed. They were so excited about it! A few minutes after this picture was taken there were some tears when they lived this was not going to happen.
Hopefully someday we will get them all looking at the camera and smiling together.
Camden's Swim Lessons
The Little Man loves playing in his backyard little pool, so I thought swim lessons would be a breeze. I even signed him up with some of his friends, so it could be an extra GREAT time for him. The fun lasted about two seconds after we walked into the pool area...then they split the kids up in groups. In Camden's defense, he was not the first crier. Little Man held out strong for about two minutes. The pool was big. The water was cold. Camden was not going in near it. I tried to coax him at first-sweetly tell him how he was going to have so much fun. That didn't work. Then I tried he obvious Plan B. Bribery. Plan B failed.
I then did what any good mom would do; I picked up my crying boy and placed him in the pool. He immediately latched on to the lifeguard and continued to cry for the next thirty minutes then crawled out shivering and shaking. Day 2 went the same way. I was beginning to wonder if I was wasting our time and money when we had a break through on Day 3. He only cried for the first five minutes! By Day 6, he was practicing paddling. By Day 10, he was swimming for small amounts of time with his head in the water.
By the end of the summer, Little Man was doing stuff like this...
Dog Paddling
Kicking off the side
Swimming underwater
Being tossed around the pool like a rag doll
My prayer is that we don't have to start all over when swim lessons resume this summer!
As for the Little Miss? She has no fear of the water...yet. She thinks she can do whatever her bubby does, so of course she tries to swim and jump in the water too.
Me too, Daddy! Me too!

Random Things Went On During The Summer
This is what happens when you have a Caroline. She likes to sneak in the fridge, grab the food she can get her hands on, and help herself to it. This is what was sitting on my kitchen counter.
Lots of strawberries gone. Some still half eaten and sitting out just like this.
One morning Caroline spent about ten minutes trying to pull out the tiles in the kitchen. She was so frustrated that she couldn't get it out! It was hilarious!
