We are just going to call this day what it was...
Operation: Frozen
Frozen had come out the week before we left, so we took Camden and Caroline to see it opening weekend.
Caroline was in.love. Obsessed. Out Of Control Passionate about the movie, the princesses, the music, etc.
We left for Disney a mere three days after seeing the movie, and Caroline already had half the soundtrack memorized! Addi and Em had the same obsession, so we knew meeting the Frozen princesses was on our must-list. When we got to Disney World, we quickly realized that our girls were not the only ones obsessed with the movie. My sister and I knew there would be a problem when we went to the princess dress shop at Cinderella's castle, and there were no Frozen dresses. In fact, there was hardly any Frozen merchandise at all! The fairy godmothers told us they were sold out everywhere. Crud. We continued to look in every store we went in, but the fairy godmothers were right. After realizing the movie was crazy popular, Aaron and I stopped by the Anna and Elsa meet and greet on our date night at Epcot. There was an incredibly long line, and it was 7pm. I asked the cast member at the door how early we would need to line up in the morning if we wanted to see them at their arrival time of 11am. She smiled and informed us we would need to get in line at 9:30 if we wanted to see them at 11am. AN HOUR AND A HALF EARLY.
What!?!
Never would I wait that long for anyone... BUT all Caroline talked about was meeting Anna and Elsa. This was a MUST for the trip.
I liken this to the time my awesome dad waited in line for hours to get me and my sister New Kids On The Block tickets. We've entered the realm of doing crazy stuff to make our kids happy. Kids, you're welcome.
Amie, Chad, Aaron, and I came up with a game plan. Chad would run to Norway at 9am and secure a place. Amie, Aaron, and I would take all of the kids on a few rides until 10am and then Aaron would run over and trade places with Chad for awhile.
Here was the letter they found that morning...
The girls were SO excited! Whe got to Epcot a little before Rope Drop and while Chad booked it to Norway, the rest of us enjoyed walking through the empty park.
We had our OSU gear on because there was a very important game that day. Fortunately, instead of watching that very important game, we enjoyed our family day at Disney without worrying about the score. If we had checked the score while at Epcot, there would have been fewer smiles in our pics.
Regardless, go cowboys!
We went on the Nemo ride, and Vivi Cate especially loved that one!
We tried to use our fast pass for Soarin' but the ride was down and it was taking too long, so we jetted to Norway to meet up with Chad. Thank goodness Chad went to Norway first thing because This was scene at 10:30am...
Chad rocked it, and we were first in line!

On a side note: It was morning time in December, and we were HOT. Like sweaty humid Houston in June hot. The cast members kept mentioning the unseasonably warm temperatures. We were okay with it because this is what was going on with the rest of the country...
Back in Oklahoma, it was under 20 degrees with snow and freezing rain.
I'll take sweaty humid Houston in June hot any day over below freezing temps.
Finally 11am arrived and our family was ushered into the room in time to see Anna and Elsa walk in...
She gave Elsa a hug.
They got lots of pictures with them.
Camden asked where Olaf was that morning, and Elsa told him that Olaf was enjoying this warm weather and was probably already out sunbathing in it.
Vivi Cate was not too interested in Anna and Elsa. She didn't see Frozen, and she was still scarred by her Donald Duck experience from the day before. Too bad because two months later her favorite song is "Let It Go, and she asks me to play it all.the.time.
Score! The store had just gotten in a new shipment of dresses that morning! They were already out of some sizes, but they had Caroline's and Emily's! Addi snagged an Anna dress in her size. Caroline had received Disney gift cards for her birthday, and she spent all of them in this store by getting an Elsa dress and Anna and Elsa dolls.
We had a Fast Pass plus to Test Track. I was needing a rest, so Vivi Cate and I sat in the shade with some water while everyone rode Test Track.
The kids LOVED Test Track. Loved it. They still talk about how much fun it was to ride in a fast car.
Caroline even creates her own special car.

We decided to eat at some Teriyaki Chicken in Japan and go back to China to catch Mulan. We attempted to see her two times before but the waits had been long. Camden and Aaron had a Fast pass for Mission: Space, so I took the girls myself.
A friend of mine's sister is a Mulan, but she wasn't working that day. Her sister was sweet enough to message the Mulan who was scheduled to be there and told her we were coming to meet her.
I wasn't sure how Vivi Cate was going to handle Mulan since the last few character meetings did not go so well.
When we approached Mulan, she sweetly commented, "Why you must be Vivi!" She looked at Caroline, "Well hello Caroline! And where is your brother?"
Caroline went silent. She couldn't respond. She was in awe.
Caroline finally whispered, "How do you know our names?"
Caroline finally whispered, "How do you know our names?"
"Well Mushu has told me all about you! He told me you were coming!" Her response was perfect!
Mulan asked Caroline if she was ready to join her army. Caroline didn't answer her. She was still stunned Mulan knew them. A minute later, Caroline whispered something. Mulan asked her to repeat what she said.
"I don't have a sword," Caroline whispered. Mulan told her she would give her one.

Vivi Cate was in love.
So was Caroline.
This is one of my most favorite pictures of the whole trip...
We went back to the hotel to swim, and Caroline just had to try on her Frozen gown.
That evening we headed to Downtown Disney for our dining reservation at Raglan Road.
The next series of pictures crack me up because how many pictures does it take to get everyone looking at the camera and smiling...
We finally gave up because Vivi Cate was HUNGRY and wanted her dinner.
Cam caught a glimpse of the Lego store.
We had dinner reservations to get to though, so we promised Cam we would come back.
Raglan Road was so good! It was probably the best tasting meal of the whole trip.
Vivi chose Nemo.
Caroline chose 'Baby Tangled'.
Camden chose Jedi Mickey.
They crashed hard that night. Vivi was asleep in crib by the time we turned off the lights.
