We had a busy weekend in OKC, so we decided to stay there for Caroline's B-day. Aaron and I decorated the kids' room the night before her birthday, so the birthday girl would wake up to this...
In true Caroline fashion, she woke up during the night and came running in shrieking...'Oh Mama! Thank you for the BABOONS!" I told her that it was our pleasure, but she needed to get her booty back to bed until the sun came up.
When she woke up, she danced around her balloons and streamers.
She 'oooohed' and 'aaahhhed' and wanted to open her 'pwesents', but we told her she had to wait until her birthday breakfast was over.
She gazed at her cookies all morning and couldn't wait to eat them!
We ate breakfast and then...
Finally it was time to blow out her candles and open gifts!
She got so many fun gifts! We gave her an Asian Bitty Baby, and it was love at first sight.
My family got her some bitty baby accessories, and she immediately went to work changing diapers. I think she's going to be a big help when her little sister gets here!
My family reunion was the day before, and cousin Kalyn had to miss it. These two kiddos were pretty upset about that, so she
came over for some birthday breakfast fun. The kids were thrilled to see 'Kay-wen'!
After breakfast and presents, we met up with the Roush family to explore the Oklahoma Science Museum (Omniplex). The kids had a blast!
The McD and the Roush kiddos minus an adorable Baby Evelyn who was probably in my arms when this picture was taken. We love the Roush girls!
After the Science Museum trip, we headed on over to Grandma Terre's and Grandpa Mark's house
and they surprised Caroline with what she later called the most beautiful and pink 'sparkle-y' bike ever!
It was quite an eventful day, but we had so much fun! Birthday Girl did not through one tired fit (it also helped that she pretty much got whatever she wanted that day.) Thank you to everyone who helped make Caroline's day special!!!
